Alba V. Chliakhitne, born in Minas Gerais-Brazil migrated to Australia in 1988 becoming a Citizen in 1993. Married with two children, Alba Works in the area of supply chain and has been volunteering in community building since 2002 when it helped to found the Brazilian Association for Social Integration in Victoria. Alba has held several roles at ABRISA and currently is its president. In 2010 Alba has joined the executive committee of VIRWC in a volunteering capacity. Her strong belief is that all migrants deserve a successful settlement in Australia and that this can only happen with Government support and grass roots community building and development actions.
