Malou Pascual Anes works for AMES as the Manager of Social Enterprise Unit. The Unit runs social enterprises with focus on engaging and empowering migrant and refugee communities.

Malou has been in the field of multicultural service since 1992 working in various capacities from volunteering to management role. Some of the highlights of her work experience include managing a migrant resource settlement service, setting up a settlement service, crisis counseling for victims of family violence and sexual assault, establishing community organisations, running support groups for disadvantaged women, and policy advocacy work. Her academic qualification covers psychology and public policy and management.

Prior to migrating to Australia in 1991, Malou was involved in the Philippine teachers’ progressive movement. She also had a brief stint in rural development work.

Malou has two wonderful sons, Aldreneil and Leandro who she deeply adores.
