Women’s Community Leadership Skills

Train the trainers

The Victorian Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Coalition (VIRWC) is now conducting a Train the Trainer program on Women’s Community Leadership Skills starting August 27 to September 18, 2010.
Eighteen immigrant and refugee women from twelve ethnic community groups will be trained in training delivery so that they can train their members in their language.

The VIRWC has pioneered the delivery of Women’s Leadership Courses for immigrant and refugee women in Australia. It has delivered Women’s Leadership Courses to some 250 migrant and refugee women since 2003.
Training these women are Tricia Szirom, former CEO of Success Works and Melba Marginson, Executive Director of the VIRWC.
All training sessions will be conducted at the Multicultural Hub, 506 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne.
The training program is jointly funded by Trust Company and Scanlon Foundation.

For more information, please ring Melba Marginson on 9654 1243.
